i'm finally back after my yearly trip to kuching.
after a week of staying in a place where the clock ticks slower and people lumber around, i find it really hard adjusting back to the fast-paced city i live in. for one thing, school starts tomorrow and i can't remember what my timetable looks like or where i should download my lecture notes. gEE.
well, lets talk about kuching, shall we?
it's the capital of sarawak, a state in malaysia. my grandparents and relatives stay there so we go back to visit every year. i guess having stayed in singapore all my life, singapore is home to me, and kuching is but a foreign place with familar faces.
for the past week, life has been thus: bathing with COLD water be it morning or night, killing little red ants on crawling on the bed, sleeping with my nano plugged into my ears so i won't be awakened by the buzz of the mosquito flying past my ear, fully guarded with a bottle of insect repellant acting as my holy water.
well, you get the idea.
i guess i'm just paranoid... i hate insects.
on the positive side, the food was cheap and gooooooooood. Especially the seafood. and i could unwind and do quite a bit of reflection, something i've been too busy to do for too long. plus i really enjoyed the company of my family.
alrighty, time to clean the hamster cages.
